Getting Around Taipei

Taxi

Yellow taxis are everywhere — hail one on the street, at hotels, or use Uber. Most taxis accept cash; some also accept EasyCard or credit cards.

Metro (MRT)

Fast, clean, and convenient — trains run every 3–5 minutes. No smoking, eating, drinking, or chewing gum inside.
Tickets can be purchased as one-way fares, day passes, or via EasyCard (悠遊卡). Info desks and multilingual ticket machines are available at all stations.

Bus

Taipei has an excellent bus network covering the entire city. Buses are ideal for exploring Taipei’s neighborhoods and attractions.
Fare: NT$15 (≈USD 0.50) per segment.
Payment: coins or EasyCard (tap on and off).

From Taoyuan Airport to Conference Venue

By Metro

Taoyuan Airport MRT to Taipei Main Station → Transfer to Tamsui-Xinyi Line (Red Line) → to Taipei 101 / World Trade Center Station (R03) → Walk 2 mins (100 m)

Time to Conference Hall: at least 90 minutes (one transfer).
Metro Fee: NT$150 + NT$ 25= NT$ 175.

By Taxi

Terminal 1& 2 Taxi Service Center are located outside the Arrivals Lobby.

Time to Congress Hall: around 40~50mins.
Taxi Fee: around NT$1,250–1,500 (≈USD 38–50)

From Taipei Songshan Airport to Conference Venue

By Metro

Taipei MRT to Daan Station (BR 09) → Transfer to Tamsui-Xinyi Line (Red Line) → to Taipei 101 / World Trade Center Station (R03) → Walk 2 mins (100 m)

Time to Conference Hall: at least 25 minutes (one transfer).
Metro Fee: NT$ 25.

By Taxi

Taxi Service Center are located outside the Arrivals Lobby.

Time to Congress Hall: around 20mins.
Taxi Fee: around NT$250–300 (≈USD 8–10)
